Frequently Asked Questions
How do I reset my password?
Tap “Forgot Password” on the login screen and enter your email address. You’ll receive a link to reset your password. If you don’t see the email, check your spam folder.
Can I control push notifications?
Yes. Open Profile > Notifications to toggle push notifications on or off, and choose which categories you want to receive (e.g. competition updates, friend requests, round reminders). You can also manage notifications at the device level in your phone’s settings.
How do I cancel my subscription?
Subscriptions are managed through the App Store (iOS) or Google Play Store (Android). Go to your device’s subscription settings to cancel. You’ll retain access until the end of your current billing period.
How do I download my data?
Go to Profile > Privacy & Data > Download My Data. This exports all your personal data as a JSON file, which you can save or share. This is your right under data protection laws (GDPR Article 20).
How do I delete my account?
Go to Profile > Privacy & Data > Delete Account. You’ll be asked to confirm twice, including typing “DELETE” to proceed. This permanently removes your account and personal data. Historical scores are anonymised to preserve competition records. You can also email support@thenineteenth.golf to request deletion.
What happens to my data if I delete my account?
When you delete your account, all personal data (profile, friends, notifications, subscriptions) is permanently deleted. Historical scores in competitions are anonymised — they remain for competition integrity but are no longer linked to your identity. This process is completed within 30 days.
How do I report a bug?
Email support@thenineteenth.golf with a description of the issue, what you expected to happen, and any screenshots if possible. Include your device model and operating system version to help us investigate.
